A walk in the park
Participants are taken for a walk through the city and informed of the health issues relating to working in this environment by qualified physiotherapists. Through a fun and interactive session, the participants are provided with information on workplace health and options and strategies to assist in maintaining good health. The session takes place outside and includes an exercise session of physiYoga aimed at addressing the problems associated with a city lifestyle. This equips the participants with strategies to address this important, but often overlooked, part of their work lives.

Ideal for new staff induction programs, and as a team building exercise.

Office health
Participants are educated in ergonomics and preventative exercises in their own workplace. The session consists of providing information on the problems that workstations have on health, teaching the participants how to self assess and modify their own workstation, and teaching simple, basic exercises to maintain good health and performance. The session may include some brief massage to highlight the areas of tension that develop at the desk. The sessions are conducted in small groups within a work area to facilitate support amongst the group in daily activities. The strategies are of an active nature, which have been proven to be the most effective in preventative health management. The session empowers the individual to control this aspect of their workday.

A fun, highly effective and economical way of addressing the issue of ergonomics and workplace health.

HR ergonomic training
Human resources staff are taught basic techniques in the assessment and modification of workstations in order to reduce the likelihood of workplace injury. The training is undertaken over two sessions that involve both theoretical and practical components. The session is taken by Darren Jenkins, a post-graduate trained physiotherapist (Masters Manipulative Physiotherapy), and is simple and problem solving in nature. Materials are provided for the participants to use in their employment.

A useful, preventative means of addressing the issues related to workstation set-up and comfort.

Individual ergonomic workstation assessments are also available, and recommended for those employees with associated injury and health issues.
