Participants are educated in issues and implications of good posture specific
to their workplace.

Physical management issues. The nature of stress as a stimulant in performance
is highlighted and physical management strategies taught to control the
level of stress in and out of the office.
3. An accident waiting to happen
Participants are informed of their own personal responsibilities in the
workplace. Identifying and rectifying simple everyday hazards that are
likely to predispose the participant to injury or illness. A review of
ergonomic implications is included.
4. Headaches - A pain in the neck
This seminar will teach participants the role the neck, back and shoulders
play in headache and strategies to minimize the occurrence and severity
of this particularly debilitating and increasingly common condition.

5. Back in action
Returning to sport and work from injuries. General considerations in return
to activity to maximise recovery and minimise the likelihood of a recurrence.
Discussion of the latest advances in back strengthening. Individuals may
participate in practical session with a Swiss ball.
6. What exercise is right for you
The benefits of different types of exercise and the implications for injury
management and lifestyle are reviewed.
7. Walking for health
Participants are taken on a local walk and provided with commentary on
hints for health and ways of exercising in their local working area.
8. Acute injury management
Simple, self-administered management strategies for the first 24-48 hours
following an injury.

9. When and where to seek advice on your health
Participants are educated on the role of various health providers in the
health system to allow them to identify the most appropriate person to
manage their current health concern. This gives the individual more control
over his or her own health.
10. Striking a balance
Ways to strike a balance between the demands of your health routine and
daily activities of work and family to aid in compliance with health strategies.
11. Your personal health and fitness
This seminar identifies options for maintaining health and fitness at
work, home, sport or when on the road or in the air. Included is an exercise
routine to address the dangers associated with air travel.
